Introduction to the Vickers V10/V20 Series of Single vane pumps

komatsuvscat

The Vickers V10/V20 Series of single vane pumps are designed for high pressure, high temperature applications. These pumps are available with a variety of materials and configurations. The standard material is Hastelloy C alloy, while other options include titanium and stainless steel.

The basic design of the V10/V20 Series was developed in the 1960s to replace older versions such as the W1/W2 series that used multiple vanes in a single housing. The use of one vane greatly improves efficiency over older designs because there is less pump surface area inside the casing. This reduces friction and allows faster flow rates at higher pressures than any other pump in its class.

The V10/V20 Series uses a two-stage axial piston motor that provides smooth operation without vibration or noise. This is especially important when pumping liquid oxygen or other cryogenic fluids where vibration can cause cavitation (bubbles) which will damage your equipment and reduce efficiency.

Vickers V10/V20 Series-Single vane pumps are a robust, high pressure industrial pump.

The design is based on the proven Vickers Unique Technology that has been developed to provide maximum efficiency and performance. The V10/V20 Series of single vanes have been specifically designed for use in aggressive, abrasive and high viscosity fluids.

The unique combination of cast iron body, shaft, impeller and volute provides a rigid structure with a low centre of gravity for maximum stability under all operating conditions. The hardened steel wear rings minimise wear within the pump housing which helps to prolong pump life and minimise maintenance costs.

The V10/V20 Series is available in either cast iron or stainless steel construction with an option of one or two valves depending on your application requirements.

They are versatile, compact and lightweight to meet the needs of a variety of applications.

The Vickers V10/V20 Series of single vane pumps are designed for high pressure and low flow applications where reliability and ease of installation are important. They have been used in chemical metering systems, liquid dispensing systems, as well as general industrial applications such as oil field drilling muds, water injection systems and other liquids requiring high pressure mixed flow pumping.

These pumps can be used for vacuum or pressure applications up to 2200 psig (150 bar) with a maximum discharge pressure of 15 bar (220 psi). The operating temperature range is -45°C to 85°C (-49°F to 185°F).

Inlet and outlet connections may be assembled on either side of the pump.

The Vickers V10/V20 Series of single-stage centrifugal pumps is used for a wide range of applications in the chemical, food & beverage, pharmaceutical and other industries.

The Vickers V10/V20 Series of single-stage centrifugal pumps is designed for use on positive displacement type metering devices such as valves, proportioners and syphons. It can be mounted on either vertical or horizontal base plates. Inlet and outlet connections may be assembled on either side of the pump.

All models have a maximum working pressure of 100 bar (1400 psi) at 25°C (77°F). The inlet connection is 1 1⁄4″ NPSM female thread with plug or quick connect coupling options available. The discharge connection is 3/4″ NPSH male thread with nut and gasket options available.

The pump is complete with an adjustable relief valve, as standard to protect against overheating and excess pressures.

The Vickers V10/V20 Series of Single vane pumps is ideal for use in the food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical and oil and gas industries, as well as water treatment.

The pump is complete with an adjustable relief valve, as standard to protect against overheating and excess pressures. The high efficiency impeller provides low power consumption and a long life.

The Vickers V10/V20 Series is available in single vane or twin vane configurations. The single vanes have a maximum flow rate of 8 m³/h at 4 bar (60 psi). The twin vanes have a maximum flow rate of 12 m³/h at 4 bar (60 psi).

The Vickers V10/V20 Series is available in five sizes with a variety of displacements and a choice of control options.

The Vickers V10/V20 Series single vane pump is designed for applications where high efficiency, durability and reliability are required. The power range of these pumps ranges from 2.5 to 4.0 kW at 80% efficiency.

The Vickers V10/V20 Series can be operated as a positive displacement pump, delivering a constant flow rate with varying discharge pressure or as an adjustable displacement pump that varies its flow rate depending on the discharge pressure. These pumps are suited for industrial applications requiring precise control and repeatability such as chemical processing, water treatment, wastewater treatment and other process applications where low noise and vibration levels are important.

The use of high-tech materials ensures long life and low noise (80 dB).

The Vickers V10/V20 Series of Single vane pumps have been developed to meet the needs of applications where quiet operation and high efficiency are essential. The use of high-tech materials ensures long life and low noise (80 dB). The pump housing is made from cast iron with a high percentage of graphite. The impeller is made from glass reinforced nylon which provides improved efficiency, durability and low sound levels.

The Vickers V10/V20 Series of Single vane pumps are suitable for petroleum products, chemicals, natural gas, liquid fertilisers and other similar applications where reliable, quiet operation is required.

The main features of the Vickers V10/V20 Series-Single pumps are its ability to operate at high pressure, compact size, adjustable relief valve, small weight and various control options.

The V10/V20 Series of Single vane pumps are designed for use in a wide range of applications including actuators, chemical injection, liquid transfer and spray drying. They can be adapted to suit many different flow conditions or pressure requirements.

The V10/V20 Series is available in either a fixed speed or variable speed version. The variable speed version is available with an electric motor drive (0-5 VDC) or an air motor drive (0-5 VDC). The air motor drive can also be used with a DC voltage source if required.

The pump body is made from cast iron which provides excellent strength and durability while keeping weight down to a minimum. The shaft seal is made from PTFE which offers superior performance when compared with other materials such as NBR and EPDM rubber seals.

They come in five different sizes with many different options to suit your needs.

The V10 Single Vanes are used for general purpose applications where slow, intermittent flows are encountered. The V20 Single Vanes have the same construction as a V10 but with a larger bore and are typically used in high pressure situations such as water supply or industrial pumping applications.

All models are available with a wide variety of shaft seal options including:

Multiple groove face seals – standard on all sizes except 3″ where they are available as an option. An anti-rotation sleeve is also available which prevents the shaft seal from rotating when installed inside a pump casing. This is particularly useful if you plan on installing your pump vertically.

Split ring face seals – these are commonly used in chemical processing industries where corrosive chemicals may be present. Split ring face seals are also available in stainless steel to prevent corrosion problems that arise due to exposure to high levels of hydraulic fluid pressure (up to 5000 psi). They have been tested up to pressures of 10,000 psi without leaking!

The Vickers V10 and V20 Series are a great investment for small to mid-size pumping applications. The long life, high efficiency and low noise operation make these pumps ideal for irrigation, water supply pumping and hydroelectric generation.
